The third book in the Bittersweet Series by J.L. Beck is now LIVE on Amazon!!

---ITS LIVE---
The third book in the Bittersweet Series by J.L. Beck is now LIVE on Amazon. Get your copy now!!!

Warning from Author: This isn't your typical romance story. This book contains strong sex scenes, lots of bad language and things that might not be suitable for all readers. Reading this novella may cause uncontrollable heartache, loss of voice, and damage to ones reading device. Proceed with caution, for you have been warned.

This is book one of Corey and Mimi's story with the second book releasing in November. What happens when fire meets gasoline? That’s all it took was a spark. One kiss and I was hooked. I wanted to hate Corey Winchester more than anything and most days I did. He was an arrogant asshole, and bully. He didn't know the first thing about love but yet here I was falling into his lap. Then things changed. I changed. Someone broke me, and he was there to pick up the pieces showing me a part of him I had never seen. Compassion, trust, and love. I wanted to hate him, with everything in me I wanted to look at him and feel nothing but I guess love and hate can’t coincide together. What happens when you think you know someone? Like really know them? Turns out we didn't know each other as well as we thought. Turns out if you play with fire for too long you, you will in fact get burned. My names Mimi Jones and this isn't a fairy tale.

"This book is filled with love, hurt, anger, humor, and much more. J.L. Beck is an EXTREMELY talented writer, and I love how her books have this attitude to them (in a good way). She is able to create this story that sticks with you for suuuuuuuccchhh a long time and actually make you like it whether you want to or not."

"Miss Beck has a way to spin a story and take us back to our younger years and to me it all on par. Sometimes authors have a tendency to make things unrealistic, it doesn't make anything bad, just not real. Not Miss Beck, she is just amazing on how to does the story and her characters. She really makes us have a love/hate relationship with them and you cant help but just be so torn. LOVE IT!"

About the Author

Although Sabrina Rawson had been physically writing for two years the ideas that conceived her first novel had been percolating in her mind for many years. In many ways she found life experiences had influenced her story although written in fantasy format.

Nelson Mandela's words inspired her:
"There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."

No truer words could have been said. After her first cancer battle four years ago, she was in the mindset to survive, get back to my swing of things. Problem was she couldn't. She wasn't the same person anymore. She relapsed by the end of the first year. She survived that experience exhausted and has had multiple tumors pop up ever since. To say her health presented a mental and physical challenge was putting it mildly.  She wanted to be more, do more, and was determined to reinvent herself along the way.

What she left behind after that first surgery, was her passion for life. Cancer didn’t take that away, she put buried it along with her drive and ambition. Her creative muse happily skipped right along with the rest of her dreams leaving her disconnected.  She had to rediscover herself and it was a slow personal process.  Four years post her first surgery and even if she had to do it all over again tomorrow, so what!  She refused to settle for a life less than what she could create for herself.

Sabrina has published works with Survivor’s Review Online Magazine and Titan InKorp Online eMag.  She published the first novel within a New Adult Urban Fantasy Romance called A Novel of Four Realms, titled Briksanna’s Sacrifice.  Book two within the series is due to publish this fall titled Katerina’s Hope with book three scheduled to release early 2015 titled Gabriella’s Promise.

Sabrina lives in Sonoma County heart of the wine country of California enjoying life in the rural land happily married to a wonderful supportive husband. You can always find her reading a book or cooking a meal for her multitude of children.

Finding out you’re Trans and the life of a series by Eva Lefoy

When I was a teenager my mother had a book about Christine Jorgenson, an early transgender pioneer. I read the book and frankly didn’t see anything wrong with his decision to become a woman. Why not change your gender if you truly desire? I had no problem with it and didn’t see – even as a teenager – why so many people did.

Later in life I saw the movie, Paris is Burning and I was glued to the TV set, watching in awe as these men transformed themselves into women by use of makeup and costume. Their goal was to impress, to “pass” as women though they remained genetically men. Some of the participants desired to actually become women. One of them was Venus Extravaganza

I find it incredibly sad that Venus died so young at the age of 23, before he could even truly begin his life. The heartbreak of her murder stayed with me and while writing the Love Hurts series, I based Gar’s ex-sub, Angel, loosely on Venus. In book IV, which is not yet written, Venus aka Angel, will finally have her sex change and a must deserved happy ending. Then and only then will I have said everything I set out write and the series will be over.

Unless of course Gar’s cousin, Donny, needs his own book! *bats away plot bunnehs* help!

Dom of Destruction, book III in the Love Hurts series:

When new and impulsive sub, Brian is injured in a bad scene, the incident opens old wounds for his sometimes-Dom, Gar. While doling out revenge, Gar must come to terms with his fear of relationships and learn the shocking truth about his former lover, Angel.

Meanwhile, Paul’s uncontrolled jealousy of Brian comes to light and Geoffrey threatens to cancel their engagement if he won’t get his anger under control. In different ways the aftermath of the sadistic Dom’s destructive force puts these four men on the track to future happiness, but some will suffer more scars than others.
Warning: The MC in this story is baited into a scene of BDSM play and is abused.

EXCERPT – Gar finds out his ex-sub, Angel, is trans:

“Holy shit. Goddamn it. Fuck.” Angel hadn’t said anything about this when he’d called him to arrange their meeting. Yes, he’d sounded a bit … queeny, but then, Angel had always had a soft voice and a light, breezy manner of speaking. After not hearing his voice for so long, Gar had simply been too shocked by making the connection to question what changes the years had wrought. He sure the hell hadn’t been expecting this. He spun the wheel as soon as the light changed and parked. Walking quickly to the shop, his boots clomped, clomped, clomped rapidly on the sidewalk. What the hell is going on here?

Right in front of the window, he stopped. He stared at Angel for a good minute before Angel raised his head and regarded him. “Angel?” Gar mouthed.

Angel smiled and waved him inside.

In a state of shock, Gar walked through the door and slid onto the barstool next to Angel. Speechless, he gaped with his mouth hanging open, feeling like he’d been hit with a one-ton brick. “Angel. Is that really you?”

He laughed a light, feminine laugh. “Yes, it’s me, Gar. Are you surprised?”

“Fuck yes! I mean, I never thought…I never imagined…” Gar gave up on words and ran a hand through his hair. If he didn’t shut up, he’d say something stupid.

“That I’d be a woman?” Angel uncrossed his legs and readjusted his position on the seat, then re-crossed them. “I’d like to be officially, once I get my operation.”

“You mean…?”

“I’m trans, Gar. You can say it. It’s not a dirty word.” Angel’s lilting soft tone seemed to float through the air between them.

Trans. The word stuck in Gar’s throat. The woman in front of him clashed so badly with his memories he was having a hard time not falling off the stool. The last time he’d seen Angel, he was half dead and bleeding, but still one hundred percent male. He couldn’t grasp the concept he’d slept with a woman, or a wannabe woman. Down below, his cock shuddered, not sure what to do. Harden or shrivel? Jesus, what a fucking mess.

Angel smoothed out his knee-length skirt. “Are you surprised?”

“Yes. Holy shit, the last time I saw you, you were lying in a hospital bed. We were lovers. You were my…” He glanced around the café, suddenly finding the spot far too public for their conversation. “Sub.”

Angel gave him a briefly amused smile and shrugged. “Times have changed, Gar.”

Lost in the Beat Review (Tip- Have extra panties handy)

You know the American dream that's sold to us from the time we're small that tells us we're supposed to want the house, the husband, the dog, the 2.5 kids, and the white picket fence?  Most women buy into that and work towards that goal their whole lives.  Unless you'd like to turn all your hopes and dreams on their heads and totally derail all your plans, do not read this book.  Your nice white picket fence and responsible hubby with a stable job are going to look like a waste of your life after you meet Jase Collins.  After reading this book you may never be satisfied until you find a rocker boy of your own and make him yours.  Jase is just that hot! We've all done things we've regretted, or made a mistake we've had to pay a price for, but Fallon Morgan messed up in the luckiest way ever when she had a one night stand with Jase.  This man is a hot bad boy drummer who always has everything his way and makes it so by sheer force of personality. Until Fallon, all he wanted was the party life with drugs and women in abundance.  Until her encounter with Jase, all Fallon wanted was to make it through med school.  Circumstances (that are unexpected and unbelievably sweet) change things for both of them over the course of time throughout this book.  By the end, the author has revealed enough character development to see the heart of gold that resides in Jase buried deep behind the rocker façade that's portrayed to his fans and the public.  We actually go through the evolution of Fallon's character that begins with her narrow view of life that involves only her goals for the future to the exclusion of all else and ends with her realizing there's room for more in her life than just bare basics.  This book has elements of Pretty Woman (minus the money changing hands) and 50 Shades (minus the bondage) which mix together nicely to create a warm gooey feeling in your heart… and panties.  All the character and story niceties aside… this book is smokin' hot!  It's not just a bodice ripper, there is a plot, but the sexual tension is unreal!  This, like all the other Gracen Miller books I've been lucky enough to get my hands on, is a must read!

Review for Lost In The Beat by Gracen Miller

My review for Lost In The Beat by Gracen Miller

Bad boy Jase Collins has always enjoyed his life style. As the drummer of the hottest band around, Hot Wired, he has his choice of women and his relationships rarely last more than one night.
One night is all it can take to change your life. Fallon Morgan finds this out her one night with Jase. Jase knew when it happened that something was different about her but he doesn't even know her name.
When Fallon has no choice but to introduce Jase to Faith he finds out who she is. Now both women hold his heart and while Faith loves him instantly will he give up his bad boy ways to prove himself worthy of Fallon's love?

Gracen never ceases to amaze me. It's a given that anything she writes is gonna be good but it still blows me away at the depth and uniqueness of her characters. They're always so real and detailed that you can't help but think of them as real people. It draws you in to their story even farther and you end up as lost in the story as the characters are Lost In The Beat.

Blog Tour for Gracen Miller's Lost in the Beat (Hot Wired Book 2) with Giveaway!!

Available September 23rd!

Rhythm is the heart of every song.

Jase Collins lives for the stage and the perks of rock

stardom. His wild antics and high-profile affairs have earned the sexy drummer

the title of Hot Wired’s bad boy. He’s not quite as jaded as his fans think—but

just jaded enough not to recognize the best thing that’s ever happened to him

until she walks out of his life. And he doesn’t even know her name.

But without harmony a man is lost.

Fallon Morgan has had her life mapped out since high school.

She’s earned a full ride scholarship to UCLA with the driving goal of earning

her doctorate. Nothing can derail her dreams—except maybe a one-night stand

with the infamous Jase Collins. His chilly reception the morning after

convinces her to put her biggest mistake in the past and move on without

looking back.

When two hearts begin to beat as one…

When Fallon’s life takes a dramatic turn, she finds herself

with no one else to turn to for help. Jase is obnoxious, demanding, and yet

surprisingly tender. Though it chafes her to depend on him, the more time she

spends with him changes her perceptions of the bad boy rocker. With each

passing day she finds more and more faith in the man behind the public persona.

If she can learn to trust her feelings, she might be willing to risk her heart.

could find themselves Lost in the Beat!

Every cell in Fallon’s body wanted

to rebel on principal. Like the good girl she was, she succumbed to Jase’s

demands. “Do you ever not get what you want?”

“Yeah.” He stepped right into her

personal space, knocking his very naked chest against her breasts.

The way her nipples protruded upon

contact, they might as well have been naked against his flesh. The simultaneous

dampness in her panties unnerved her. Damn her traitorous body! She ignored the

pulsing between her thighs and coerced her libido to focus on him and not her

body’s yearnings.

He lifted his hand and wrapped his

fingers around her ponytail. A slow, gentle pull on her hair and he notched her

head back. “Twice last year I didn’t get what I wanted.” He sounded put

out by the inconvenience.

Proof he lives a charmed life! That was as good as always getting

his way in her valuation. She’d endured many more disappointments than that in

the past year.

His sapphire-blue eyes looked black

in the dim lighting. “Care to know what those two were?”

If she said no, then he’d suspect

she predicted those disappointments centered on her.

“I’ll take your silence as a yes. Number

one…I didn’t want Sam and Fang together.” Surprised, her eyes widened at his

confession. The tabloids would pay good money for that juicy tidbit. “Didn’t

think they were right for one another. Gave them a lot of hell for that.” He

shrugged. “My accident—you heard about that, right?” At her nod, he went on. “It

reminded me how short life is, so I gave them my blessing to be together.”

Fallon licked her lips, suspecting

his sister hadn’t really needed his blessing to do what she wanted. “It was the

right thing to do.”

A humorous glint sparkled in his

eyes. “I’m not known for doing the right thing, darlin’. Like now.”

She frowned. “What do you mean?”

He adjusted his hand, sliding it

along her ponytail, before burying his fingers into the coil of her strands

beneath the snug grip of the rubber band. His other arm curled around her shoulders,

drawing her tight against his frame. Her heart pounded in her ears, and he

smelled good.

Jase nipped her bottom lip and at

her sharp gasp, he took advantage and slid his tongue into her mouth. The cool

minty taste of him verified he’d taken the time to brush his teeth.

Her eyelids fluttered shut, and she

groaned upon his first contact, a slow drag of his tongue against hers. The

immediate surge of wetness that drenched her panties scandalized her.

Her eyelids snapped open, and she spied

him watching her. Fine lines creased the corners of his eyes. Again and again

his tongue caressed hers, reminding her how he’d licked her breasts and between

her legs.

More moisture dampened her panties,

and her passage clenched in need. She compressed her thighs, but that action

caused her ache to grow instead of abate as she’d intended. He withdrew from her

mouth, and she almost botched stifling her groan of disappointment. Awed by the

effect Jase asserted over her body, she stared at his lips. She’d lost all

sense of restraint when he’d put them on her.

Just like the first time.

“You were

the second thing I wanted last year.” He removed his arm from her shoulders and

ran his thumb along her jaw. “I had private investigators search for you, but

they repeatedly came up empty-handed.”

Stunned by the admission, she wasn’t

sure what to make of it or if she even believed him. “Why’d you have P.I.’s

looking for me?”

“Because you’re the one that got

Jase looked serious. He didn’t flinch away from her direct stare. Didn’t

grin, didn’t even blink. But the idea that she was ‘the one that got away’ was

ludicrous…Fallon snorted, calling bullshit. She bet he said that to every woman

he wanted to screw. While he could have his pick of women, she was a convenient

I am no one’s dupe.

“This chick isn’t stupid enough to

believe that line.”

A flash of hurt pinched his

features. His mouth parted as if he’d say something, but he settled for shaking

his head and dragging his fingers through his hair.

Their sultry spell demolished, she watched

him, refusing to allow herself to regret her callous honesty. He could have any

woman he wanted, but she wasn’t for sale.

Jase released his hold on her and picked

up the keys and cell she’d dropped on the floor. He placed them on the counter

and met her gaze dead-on. “You’re obviously not as intelligent as I thought you

were either.”
