Finding out
you’re Trans and the life of a series by Eva Lefoy
When I was a teenager my mother had a book about Christine Jorgenson, an
early transgender pioneer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_Jorgensen I
read the book and frankly didn’t see anything wrong with his decision to become
a woman. Why not change your gender if you truly desire? I had no problem with
it and didn’t see – even as a teenager – why so many people did.
Later in life I saw the movie, Paris is Burning and I was glued to the TV
set, watching in awe as these men transformed themselves into women by use of
makeup and costume. Their goal was to impress, to “pass” as women though they
remained genetically men. Some of the participants desired to actually become
women. One of them was Venus Extravaganza http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_Xtravaganza
I find it incredibly sad that Venus died so young at the age of 23,
before he could even truly begin his life. The heartbreak of her murder stayed
with me and while writing the Love Hurts series, I based Gar’s ex-sub, Angel,
loosely on Venus. In book IV, which is not yet written, Venus aka Angel, will
finally have her sex change and a must deserved happy ending. Then and only then
will I have said everything I set out write and the series will be over.
Unless of course Gar’s cousin, Donny, needs his own book! *bats away plot
bunnehs* help!
When new and
impulsive sub, Brian is injured in a bad scene, the incident opens old wounds
for his sometimes-Dom, Gar. While doling out revenge, Gar must come to terms
with his fear of relationships and learn the shocking truth about his former
lover, Angel.
Meanwhile, Paul’s
uncontrolled jealousy of Brian comes to light and Geoffrey threatens to cancel
their engagement if he won’t get his anger under control. In different ways the
aftermath of the sadistic Dom’s destructive force puts these four men on the
track to future happiness, but some will suffer more scars than others.
Warning: The MC in this story is baited into a scene of BDSM
play and is abused.
EXCERPT – Gar finds out his ex-sub, Angel, is
trans:
“Holy shit. Goddamn it. Fuck.” Angel hadn’t said anything about this
when he’d called him to arrange their meeting. Yes, he’d sounded a bit …
queeny, but then, Angel had always had a soft voice and a light, breezy manner
of speaking. After not hearing his voice for so long, Gar had simply been too
shocked by making the connection to question what changes the years had wrought.
He sure the hell hadn’t been expecting this.
He spun the wheel as soon as the light changed and parked. Walking quickly to
the shop, his boots clomped, clomped, clomped rapidly on the sidewalk. What the hell is going on here?
Right in front of the window, he stopped. He stared at Angel for a
good minute before Angel raised his head and regarded him. “Angel?” Gar
mouthed.
Angel smiled and waved him inside.
In a state of shock, Gar walked through the door and slid onto the
barstool next to Angel. Speechless, he gaped with his mouth hanging open,
feeling like he’d been hit with a one-ton brick. “Angel. Is that really you?”
He laughed a light, feminine laugh. “Yes, it’s me, Gar. Are you surprised?”
“Fuck yes! I mean, I never thought…I
never imagined…” Gar gave up on words and ran a hand through his hair. If he didn’t
shut up, he’d say something stupid.
“That I’d be a woman?” Angel uncrossed his legs and readjusted his
position on the seat, then re-crossed them. “I’d like to be officially, once I
get my operation.”
“You mean…?”
“I’m trans, Gar. You can
say it. It’s not a dirty word.” Angel’s lilting soft tone seemed to float
through the air between them.
Trans. The word stuck in Gar’s throat. The woman
in front of him clashed so badly with his memories he was having a hard time
not falling off the stool. The last time he’d seen Angel, he was half dead and
bleeding, but still one hundred percent male. He couldn’t grasp the concept
he’d slept with a woman, or a wannabe woman. Down below, his cock shuddered,
not sure what to do. Harden or shrivel? Jesus, what a fucking mess.
Angel smoothed out his knee-length skirt. “Are you surprised?”
“Yes. Holy shit, the last time I saw you, you were lying in a
hospital bed. We were lovers. You were my…” He glanced around the café,
suddenly finding the spot far too public for their conversation. “Sub.”
Angel gave him a briefly amused smile and shrugged. “Times have
changed, Gar.”
